Bethany College invites high school seniors interested in art, music or theatre to audition for performance awards at Art, Music and Theatre Awards Day on Feb. 13. On the same day, high school seniors who meet certain criteria are invited to compete for a full-tuition scholarship and Honors Program admission at Scholarship and Honors Day.
Students interested in performance awards should bring a portfolio or audition piece. Bethany offers performance awards for students who major in art, music and theatre, as well as awards for non-majors who participate in classes and activities.
To compete for the full-tuition scholarship, students must meet two of three criteria: at least a 3.5 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale); 25 ACT score (1150 SAT); or top quarter of their class. The scholarship competition includes an interview with faculty and an essay portion.
To compete for admission to the Honors Program, students must have at least a 3.6 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale) and a 26 ACT score (1190 SAT). Bethany Honors Program students are eligible for unique benefits and educational opportunities, including honors-designated sections of courses and exclusive interdisciplinary seminars.
Visiting students also will tour campus and talk to current students, faculty and staff.
