On April 23, Bethany will host the Gustavus Adolphus College Choir.
The free concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Hall on the Bethany College Campus. The choir will perform a concert of sacred and secular music.
Currently celebrating its 79th year, the Gustavus Choir is conducted by Professor Gregory Aune, who served as Bethany’s Director of Choral Activities from 1988-1995. The choir has toured extensively throughout the continental United States and internationally in South Africa and Italy. In January 2007, the choir spent three weeks touring and performing in Spain and Portugal.
Like Bethany, Gustavus Adolphus was founded by Swedish settlers and is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
