LINDSBORG, KAN., September 28, 2011— With a headcount of 632 students, Bethany College’s fall enrollment increased by 3.6% from last year. Bethany’s student body is now the largest it’s been since 1997.
LINDSBORG, KAN., September 19, 2011—Bethany College has been ranked as a Best Regional College by U.S. News & World Report. Bethany earned placement in the top five colleges with the lowest student debt upon graduation and ranked No. 49 overall. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Bethany has been classified in the top tier of the Midwest region. Bethany also ranked 12th in average amount of need-based aid awarded, 20th in campus ethnic diversity, and 20th in most international students.
LINDSBORG, KAN., September 12, 2011—Artist Jordi Arkö, Pearson Distinguished Professor of Swedish Studies at Bethany College, joins Bethany as artist-in-residence this September. In addition to teaching classes and working with Bethany students, faculty, and staff, Arkö will participate in numerous public events, starting with a presentation during Bethany’s Chapel service on September 21 at 10:30 a.m in Burnett Center.
LINDSBORG, KAN., September 12, 2011—Ed Pogue, associate professor of art and design, will host an art exhibition of sculpture at the Mark A. Chapman Gallery at Kansas State University on September 19 to 30. The gallery is located on the first floor of Willard Hall on the KSU campus in Manhattan. The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
