Every year, Bethany students elect ten female and ten male senior students to be Homecoming candidates and select the Homecoming royalty after a second round of voting. Joshua Snider, Tehachapi, Calif., and Alexandria DeLong, Admire, Kan., were crowned the 2012 Homecoming king and queen.
Snider is the son of David and Suzette Snider. Snider is pursuing a double major in psychology and criminal justice. He has been a part of the cross country team, track and field team, and law and order club. After graduation, Snider plans on pursuing a master’s degree in mediation and then moving to Colorado and becoming a court-appointed mediator.
DeLong is the daughter of Brelana and Darryl DeLong. DeLong is an art education major and has been involved in the Art Club, Alpha Theta Chi sorority, and basketball. After graduation she plans on traveling and teaching ceramics.
First runners-up were Joseph Jedrzejewski, Longmont, Colo., and Olivia Fabrizius, WaKeeney, Kan.
Jedrzejewski is the son of Kelley and Mark Koschade and Connie and David Jedrzejewski. He is majoring in communication and youth and family ministry as well as minoring in psychology. During his time at Bethany College he has been involved in the Pi Sigma Chi fraternity, Campus Ministry, and is a Student Ambassador. After graduation Jedrzejewski plans on attending seminary to become a Lutheran pastor.
Fabrizius is the daughter of Carl and Sarah Fabrizius. Fabrizius is an elementary education major and is currently student teaching at Salina South Middle School under the direction of Lynn Harris. She has been involved in the Student Activities Board, Bethany Ambassador program, tennis team, Gold Key Honor Society, and Peer Ministry. After graduation, she would like to teach and coach in rural Kansas while she works on obtaining her master’s degree in speech pathology or school administration.
Second runners-up were Jason Mihalcin, Arvada, Colo., and Shelby Broeckelman, Beloit, Kan.
Mihalcin is the son of Michael and Janet Mihalcin. Mihalcin is a pursuing majors in math, physics, and chemistry. He has played on the basketball team and been involved in Von Neuman Society as well as Bio-Chem club. After graduation Mihalcin would like to become a commercial airline pilot.
Broeckelman is the daughter of Mike and Sharla Broeckelman. Broeckelman is majoring in biology and has been involved in Peer Ministry, Students Activities Board, Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society, Student Ambassador Program, and volleyball. After graduation, she would like to become a physician’s assistant in rural Kansas.

Samantha Anderson, Waterville, Kan., is the daughter of Gail and Julie Anderson. Anderson majors in mathematics and accounting. She has been a part of the Business Club, Swede Government Association, Von Neumann Society, and volleyball team. After graduation, she would like to start a career in accounting close to her hometown.
Ira Autrey, Houston, Texas, is the son of Kathrine Brownlow and Ira Autrey Sr. Autrey is studying business management and has been a part of the football team as well as the track and field team. After graduation, Autry would like to play for the Houston Texans NFL team.
Tateme Babi, Bennett, Colo., is the daughter of Michael and Korrie Babi. Babi is majoring in biology and minoring in psychology. She has been involved in Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society, Von Neumann’s Society, Biochem club, and volleyball. After graduation, she would like to become a doctor.
Shelby Brown, Taylor, Neb., is the daughter of Greg and Michaela Brown. Brown is an elementary education major and has been involved in Alpha Theta Chi Sorority, Green Team, and volleyball. After graduation, she would like to become a teacher and volleyball or basketball coach in rural Nebraska.
Jeffery Childs, Junction City, Kan., is the son of Jeff and Sherri Childs. Childs studies criminal justice with a minor in psychology. Childs is currently a resident advisor and a Bethany ambassador as well as being involved in the football team. After graduating from Bethany, he plans on starting a career in law enforcement or pursuing a place in the United States military.
Cortni Decker, Washington, Kan., is the daughter of Scott and Lisa Decker. Decker is an athletic training major and has been involved in Gold Key, Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society, Orientation, and volleyball. After graduation she would like to become a physical therapist near her hometown.
Marcy Erb, Moundridge, Kan., is the daughter of Dwight and Laura Erb. Erb is majoring in biology and minoring in psychology. She has been involved in Swede Government Association, Campus Ministry, Bethany’s Student Ambassador program, Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society, and the Bethany Symphonic Band. After graduation she would like to start a career in the alternative energy industry and continue her education and career in energies or return to the medical field and become a child psychiatrist.
Alex Fambrough, Tyler, Texas, is the son of Cecil and Paula Fambrough. Fambrough studies health and physical education and has been involved with the baseball and football teams. After graduating, he plans on pursuing a career as a professional football kicker with the goal of being hired onto a NFL team.
Timothy Green, Washington Island, Wis., is the son of Phil and Sandy Green. Green is a social science education major and is currently student teaching. He has been actively involved in Youth Ministry, Campus Ministries, and Pi Sigma Chi fraternity, where he served as treasurer one year. After graduation he plans on staying in Kansas with his wife, Emily, and teaching at the high school or middle school level.
Colton Grove, Belleville, Kan., is the son of Dewy and Lisa Grove. Grove is an elementary education major and is currently student teaching the second grade at Concordia Elementary School. Grove has been a part of the basketball team for three years. He plans on finding a teaching job close to his hometown after graduation and would like to coach and pursue a master’s degree in administration with the ultimate goal to become a principal someday.
Eric Hawk, Lindsborg, Kan., is the son of John and Tricia Hawk, who is the vice president of recruitment and marketing at Bethany. Hawk studies sports management and is involved with coaching high school basketball at Smoky Valley High School as well as serving as the assistant manager at Hibbett Sports in McPherson. After graduation, he plans on advancing his position at Hibbett Sports.
Kelsey Heronemus, WaKeeney, Kan., is the daughter of Gary & DeeDee Heronemus. Heronemus is majoring in psychology and minoring in business. She has been involved in Psychology Club and the dance team. After graduation she would like to travel and start a career in event planning.
Sarah Peterson, Garfield, Kan., is the daughter of Kevin and Rebekah Peterson. Peterson is majoring in English and minoring is theology and philosophy. She has been a part of Gold Key, Sigma Alpha Iota, Chi Alpha, Kappa Gamma Phi sorority, and Bethany College Choir. After graduation she would like to pursue a career in writing for the National Park Service, advocating for the low vision community, and applying for graduate school.
Tyler Vogt, Santa Maria, Calif., is the son of Steven Vogt and Sandra Salisbury. Vogt studies biology and has been a part of the football team and Alpha Sigma Nu fraternity. After graduation, he plans on attending graduate school for physical therapy.
