Bethany College/Lindsborg Community Orchestra to give concert Oct. 14

OrchestraThe Bethany College/Lindsborg Community Orchestra will perform a concert on Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. in Presser Hall. This event is free and open to the public.

The group will perform “Symphony No. 31, The Paris Symphony” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Symphony No. 89 in F Major” by Franz Josef Haydn, and “’Te Deum,’ KV 141” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.The Bethany College/Lindsborg Community Orchestra, is a full symphonic orchestra comprised of students and community members. This group performs four full concerts each year. Many of the orchestra members are members of the “Messiah” and “St. Matthew Passion” orchestra during the Messiah Festival of the Arts.

The group is conducted by Richard Koshgarian who has his Bachelor of Music from Rhode Island College, Master of Music from the University of Michigan, and Doctor of Musical Arts in orchestral conducting from the University of Iowa. Koshgarian is also the music director for the Hutchinson Symphony.
