Student artwork chosen for Messiah Festival Juried Exhibition

Works of art by 21 student artists will be on display as part of the Bethany College Messiah Festival Juried Student Art Exhibition on March 24 to April 2 in Mingenback Art Center. The exhibition is free and open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Winners will be announced at 1:30 p.m. on Palm Sunday, March 24, at a reception in the gallery.

Lindsborg store fronts feature student artwork

Bethany College students will exhibit art installations inspired by the Messiah Festival of the Arts tradition in three installations in the store fronts of Lindsborg businesses Sarahendipity, The Old Grind, and Small World Gallery through March 31.

Bethany College “Messiah” dress rehearsal features students and community members

Bethany College’s Messiah Festival conductor Jeffery Wall has selected eight students and two community members to sing the solo recitatives and arias in the dress rehearsal of Handel’s “Messiah” on Sunday, March 17, at 3 p.m. The rehearsal is free and open to the public. It will take place in Presser Hall on the Bethany College campus and is part of the preparations for the college’s 132nd annual Messiah Festival of the Arts. Bethany students who were selected are Mikhail Zhilin, Rostov-on-Don, Russia; Nichol DeChant, Leavenworth, Kan.; Ashley Glover, Emporia, Kan.; Joanna Roberts, Lindsborg, Kan.; Sarah Peterson, Garfield, Kan.; Cecilia Ramsey, Garden City, Kan.; Laura Klaassen, Marquette, Kan.; and Spencer Wesley, Salina, Kan.
