Bethany College senior artist Alexandria DeLong will exhibit her senior art show, “Caesura,” at Mingenback Art Center on campus from May 2 to 7.
A reception will be held on Sunday, May 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. with a gallery talk by the artist at 2:30 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public

The Bethany College Choir, Chamber Choir, Chapel Choir, and Vokala Lejon (Men’s Ensemble) will perform their “Puttin’ on the Ritz” concert on May 5 at 4 p.m. in Presser Hall.
Bethany College’s Community Garden has been awarded a $5,000 grant through the Kansas Community Gardens Project, a joint initiative of the Kansas Health Foundation and K-State Research and Extension.
Bethany’s Community Garden is one of 35 community garden projects in the state to receive this funding, which will help support the purchase and construction of much needed foundational infrastructure, including a permanent irrigation system, tool shed, and winter tunneling supplies.
Bethany College senior Nickolas Carlson recently placed first in the Quimby Chapter Competition for Young Organists.
He will now move on the regional competition that will be held in Springfield, Mo. in June 2013.
The Bethany College Handbell Ensemble and Genesis Ringers will perform an “Old & New” concert on Tuesday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Hall.
The concert will feature the music of Edvard Grieg, Cathy Moklebust, Paul McKlveen, Edward Eldar, and more.
Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard is the story of a family struggling to save their family’s estate. Director Cody Whetstone knew that in order to portray this eccentric family and the servants and friends that surround them, he would have to cast an eclectic group of people.
“We knew this would be a perfect play to work on collaboratively with Bethany College and Broadway RFD,” Whetstone said. “To find such a diverse group of people, we needed both group’s resources.”
