Brack to read essay at writer’s conference

Lori BrackAssistant Professor of English Lori Brack, M.A., will read her essay “Touching the Buffalo” at the John R. Milton Writers’ Conference on Memory, Remembrance, Commemoration and the American West at the University of South Dakota in October.

This summer, Brack’s poems “At the Museum of Trees” and “At the Museum of Rain” appeared in the Summer 2013 issue of Another Chicago Magazine, a national literary journal. “Art History” and “An Overture” also appeared in Moon City Review, a national literary journal published by Missouri State University, in the Spring 2013 issue.

Brack came to Bethany in 2012 from Northwestern Missouri State University. She earned her master’s in English with writing emphasis from Western Washington University.  She has previously taught at Western Washington University, Kansas State University at Salina, and Kansas Wesleyan University.
