Bethany College will host a poetry reading with Jason Ryberg and David Smith and on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Nelson 116 Coffee Shop located in Nelson Science Center on campus.
The reading is free and open to the public. Ryberg and Smith will read excerpts from a new book they co-authored, “Beauty Parlors, Train Yards And Everything In Between.” Open-mic night will follow.
Jason Ryberg from Kansas City, Mo., is the author of nine books of poetry, seven screenplays, and several short stories. He is currently an artist-in-residence at The Prospero Institute of Disquieted P/o/e/t/i/c/s and an aspiring actor. Learn more at jasonryberg.com.
Californian David Smith has published the poetry collections “Closer to Jesus,” “Rockets Red Glare – the Handsome Duke Deal and Kid Mingo Letters” with Scott Wannberg, “Genocide Sutra,” and “White Time.” He has been the editor of Ouija Madness Press and Ouija Madness magazine and has also written for the LA Reader.
