Bethany College Art Department will host an exhibit featuring the artwork of Holly Phelps, senior, of Wichita. The exhibition, including paintings, drawings, ceramics, and sculpture, runs through May 1 at the Mingenback Art Gallery located at the corner of Second and Olsson in Lindsborg, Kan. An opening reception is scheduled for Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m. with a gallery talk at 2:30 p.m.
Phelps is exhibiting paintings and drawings from her four years at Bethany. Her show, “Raw Essence” incorporates her own essence of beauty through nature and people. Her main work is multiple portraits done of fellow Bethany College students, staff, and faculty. Phelps is the daughter of the Chuck Phelps and Rachel Blough.
The gallery is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
