Bethany College will welcome several new faculty and staff members to campus when fall semester classes start on August 21.
Joining the faculty are: Gladys Chow, assistant professor of art – graphic design; Dr. Heather Morris, assistant professor of biology; Angela Martin, assistant professor of business and accounting; Dr. Karl “Duke” Rogers, assistant professor of business and accounting; Amy Riordan, assistant professor of communications; Dr. Marcus Hensel, assistant professor of English; Dr. Tom Jorsch, assistant professor of History; Jimmy Ciola, assistant professor of health, physical education and athletic training; Dr. Lihong Yao, assistant professor of math and physics; Dr. Tyler Atkinson, assistant professor of religion.
Melody Steed, associate professor of music and college organist, has been appointed as the assistant academic dean. She began her new role at Bethany on July 1 and will continue as college organist and accompanist for the Bethany Oratorio Society. Other new staff members also include: Dale Burge, controller; Ken Ciolek, head track and field coach; Terran Corwin, accountant (previously accounts payable); Zach Dovenbarger, resident director; Drew Frizzell, assistant track coach; Cody Garcia, head wrestling coach; Tina Goodwin, director of communications and marketing; William Joseph Gordon, assistant football coach; Connie Harkins, accounts payable; Alisa Jones, advancement, stewardship and research specialist; Mike McCormick, groundskeeper; Amanda McLaughlin, assistant director of financial aid; Juli Miles, admission counselor; Melba Sankey, administrative assistant registrar; Kenneth Schaefer, admissions counselor; Shane Taylor head men’s soccer coach.
