New show opens

White Queen

A ceramic work by artist Linda Ganstrom, entitled “White Queen.”

A ceramic sculpture exhibit entitled “Bell(e)s on Progress: Lindsborg”by Linda Ganstrom will be displayed in Mingenback Gallery August 18 through September 5, 2014. The exhibition includes a closing tea party reception and gallery talk on Sept. 5, from 1-3 p.m. in the gallery. The artist invites guests to dress in best tea party outfits and join in the exhibition.

Linda Ganstrom is a Professor at Fort Hays University. She received her BA and MFA at Fort Hays University in Kansas. Ganstrom has actively exhibited her work in Nevada, Nebraska and around the state of Kansas. She served as one of the judges of the juried art exhibition during the 2014 Messiah Festival of the Arts.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Kahmeyer Visiting Visual Artist Lecture Series at Bethany College. This fund is supported entirely by charitable contributions in honor of Ray Kahmeyer.

Mingenback Art Center Gallery, located at the corner of Olsson and Second streets in Lindsborg, is open daily, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
