Barbara Mohler-Spear is a professor of business and accounting at Bethany College. She is the Oscar D. Nelson Distinguished Professor of Business and the former Social Sciences Division Chair.  Mohler-Spear has been a member of the Bethany College faculty since 1982. At Bethany College, she teaches classes in accounting, auditing and business law.

Mohler-Spear, a certified public accountant, earned her M.S. and B.S. in business administration-accounting from Fort Hays State University. She has done additional coursework at Kansas State University, Augsburg College Mexico Global Study Seminar and Kansas Newman. Previously, Mohler-Spear taught at Kansas Wesleyan University, where she developed and instituted the accounting major.

Mohler-Spear is professionally affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Central Kansas Chapter of Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Accounting Association and Institute of Management Accountants. She has served as a board member for the Institute of Management Accountants.
