Marlysue Holmquist is a Professor of Education at Bethany College. At Bethany College, Holmquist teaches elementary education methods courses and Introduction to Education.  She supervises elementary student teachers. Holmquist is the Licensure Officer for Bethany College and serves on the faculty senate.

She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Bethany College and taught in Marquette, Kan., Mt. Vernon, Ky., and Salina, Kan., before becoming an adjunct instructor at Bethany in 1995.

Holmquist earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and her M.S. in Education and a Reading Specialist degree from Kansas State University.
