David Slack is in his fifth year as Director of the Bethany College Athletic Training Education Program. He directed the efforts to accredit the college in 2008 and led a similar process at Washburn University in 2005. Slack holds an Educational Doctorate in Sports Management from the University of Utah (2004), a Master of Arts Degree from Brigham Young University (1986), and a Bachelor of Science from Utah State University (1981). He held a dual role as Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Athletics at Brigham Young University from 1986 to 1992 and served as Executive Director of the Utah Summer Games from 1994 to 1998.

He and Pam, his wife of 34 years, are the parents of four children and two grandchildren.
