The Bethany College / Lindsborg Community Orchestra is a full symphonic orchestra comprised of students and community members. This group performs four full concerts each year. Many of the orchestra members are members of the "Messiah" and "St. Matthew Passion" orchestra during the Messiah Festival of the Arts.

The Chamber Strings meet Mondays from 6-7pm

The College / Community Orchestra rehearses from 7-9pm on Monday

Richard Koshgarian joined them Bethany College Faculty in the fall of 2004.  He is the conductor of the Bethany College / Lindsborg Community Orchestra.  He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Rhode Island College, a Masters of Music from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Iowa. Dr. Koshgarian has lived in Salina for the past twenty years where his musical duties include directing the Chancel Choir at the First Presbyterian Church and teaching instrumental music at Sacred Heart Junior-Senior High School.  He is also beginning his eighth season as Music Director for the Hutchinson Symphony.
