The 2009-10 Pearson Distinguished Professor was Peter Savolainen, an assistant professor at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. Savolainen specializes in forensic and genetic studies, particularly the study of dogs. In addition to teaching and working with Bethany students, staff and faculty, he gave two public lectures and participated in several public events.
