In 2008, the college passed a $6 million bonding project, which included a new apartment-style residence hall, Swede Suites; three additional laboratories in Nelson Science Center; and added weight room facilities and athletics offices to Stroble-Gibson Gymnasium. The residence hall was finished in 2008, and the athletics facility addition and laboratory project were finished in 2009.

Also in 2008, thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends, and in partnership with Smoky Valley USD 400, the college undertook renovations in Anderson Stadium.
