MindFire hosts open house

MINDFIRE 313On January 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Bethany College @ MindFire will open its doors to the public. This is a chance for prospective students and curiosity seekers to learn more about creating their future as a digital artist.

The tour offers everyone a chance to see firsthand how they can get an exceptional education, in Wichita, in the digital arts and earn a bachelor of arts in the field. Guests will also see demonstrations of the motion capture stage (the only one in the region) and see work previous students created.

Demonstrations will include:

• audio recording studio will be open for exploration, as the R&B vocal artist Rudy Love and Shawn Rhodes demonstrate audio recording (Shawn just signed a major TV Show in Los Angeles last week!)

• aspiring filmmakers will want to meet Wynn Ponder from Cinema One in our film studio (Wynn just won several awards for his documentary film, “The Life Blood and Rhythm – Randy Castillo.”)

• watch Colby Turybury demonstrate the UnReal Game Engine (Colby worked on such movies as, “Transformers” and “Iron Man.”)

• attend a class on ZBrush Techniques for character design, held by Ryan Todd (Ryan built many 3D graphics for the film, “Iron Man.”)

Beyond getting a peek behind-the-scenes, visitors will be able to get answers to any questions about the programs.

Make sure to pre-register so that we can save a t-shirt for you when you check in!
