On August 9, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Bethany College @ MindFire will open its doors to the public. This is a chance for prospective students and curiosity seekers to learn more about creating their future as a digital artist. The tour offers everyone a chance to see firsthand how they can get an exceptional education, in Wichita, in the digital arts and earn a bachelor of arts in the field. Guests will also see demonstrations of the motion capture stage (the only one in the region) and see work previous students created.
As part of its growing commitment to community outreach and education, Bethany College @ MindFire invites the public to MindFire Connect 2014, a free educational event, on June 28. MindFire Connect 2014 will give everyone a unique opportunity to speak to digital arts professionals working in both Wichita and Hollywood, including 3D animators who worked on Academy Award winning films, designed games for XBOX and music producers of hit records.
This exciting event is free and open to the public.
Bethany College @ MindFire Academy will host exhibitions of University of Kansas Art Professor Norman Akers’ color prints and Bethel College Art Professor David Long’s ceramics at its art gallery at 3805 E. Harry, Suite 105, in Wichita, Kan., until Final Friday on Nov. 22 when a closing reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.
