Bethany College Advocacy Team members are devoted to effectively addressing the causes of hunger and poverty through education and advocacy. Events include letter-writing campaigns, campus conversations, guest speakers, book discussion groups, meetings with government representatives, and hunger awareness activities. Bethany Campus Ministry is a member of Bread for the World, a national inter-denominational movement to address hunger issues; RESULTS, a national advocacy group committed to creating the political will to end hunger and the worst aspects of poverty; and Oxfam America. Three Bethany students have participated in Oxfam's summer CHANGE training in Boston which teaches college-aged students about advocacy initiatives and helps them develop an on-campus plan for advocacy work.
