November 23
Holly (Corum) Ford '99 married Doug Ford on November 11, 2006 in Kansas City, MO. Holly currently teaches speech and theatre arts at Ervin Middle School where she also serves as the head play director and building Professional Development Representative.

HOLDSWORTH GIVES BETHANY CARVED ANNIVERSARY SEAL

Bethany College Professor Emeritus Gene Holdsworth '58 has presented Bethany President Paul Formo with a wood carving of the college’s 125th anniversary seal. Bethany will finish a year-long celebration of the 125th founding of the college in December. More.
November 16
The Official Brick Blitz was held today from 10 to 2 in the Pit. Hosted by an ad-hoc committee of students, faculty and staff, this come-and-go reception was to thank the campus for patience and assistance with the current Campus Green construction. It was also a way for the campus community to learn about and support the next phase by purchasing a custom-engraved brick. Walli (Wilgers) Ellis '88 made the very festive cake for the occasion.

November 13
Audrey (Bazil) Ratzlaff '01is in her final year at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana. This fall, she is a full-time pastoral intern at Southern Hills Mennonite Church in Topeka, Kansas. In addition to the Sunday morning tasks (worship leading, preaching, music, children's stories), she is attending all-manner of committee meetings and ministerial gatherings, doing pastoral visitation, and volunteering in the local food pantry. She will earn a Masters in Divinity, graduating in May 2007, and will then be looking for a church placement.
Carl Buhse '50 of Trenton, MI is serving as a pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in East Point, MI. He has served here for the last ten years.
Ginger (Pennington) Jones '98 is currently working as a chemist at the LaSalle County Generating Station for Exelon Nuclear in Marsailles, IL.
Cotton Smith '62 has published his 11th novel of the west. Blood Brothers is the third in the Dodge City trilogy. The story returns former Texas Ranger John Checker and his Triple C friends, a former outlaw, a former slave, and a farm boy.
November 12
Carolyn J. Beck former student (1963-65) now lives in Terrell, TX. Just letting Bethany College know she still remembers the warm and encouraging start of her college career that the college and it’s professors gave her. She has since earned 2 Master’s (Music..minor Radio and TV..and Psychology/Counseling), she will retire next year (August 17, 2007) from Trinity Valley Community College as a full-time Counselor at their Health Science Center and a part-time Instructor of Psychology and Music. She retires after serving 30 years in education. She plans to do volunteer work in nursing homes and our Texas State Mental Hospital in Terrell. She credits the rich spiritual knowledge she learned from the staff and instructors at Bethany to have been a constant guide throughout her career and personal life.
Bob Kruger '62 has retired following a 44 year teaching career. He now lives in Lindsborg.
Joseph G. Lodico '78 is the group supervisor of the Drug Enforcement Administration. He received his Masters in Public Administration from Marist College May 2006.
Eric Yonkey '89 has recently become a correctional officer at Kit Carson Corrections Center in Burlington, CO.
Nadine (Johnson) '55 Lesser's granddaughter and Karen (Evans) '85 Wondra's daughter is attending Bethany this year. Jennifer is a freshman. This is the 4th generation student from her family.
November 3
Jamie (Stockman) Opat, '92, is the director of communications for Starkey Inc., an agency serving 400 people with developmental disabilities. She recently won two Clarus Awards for her 2005 annual report and 75th anniversary publication for Starkey. The Clarus is the highest distinction given by the Public Relations Society of America, Kansas chapter.
Carrie (Magness) Radna '94 married Rudolf B. Radna on June 18th, 2006 in New Rochelle, NY. She is working as a sound recording cataloger at the New York Public Library for the past two years. Rudy is an attorney. The couple currently live in the Upper West Side in New York City.
2nd Lt. Ryan Jackman '03 USMC is currently based at Camp Pendleton, California. Jackman a 2003 Bethany graduate received his commission in December 2005. He graduated from Infantry Command School, Quantico, Virginia in August '06.
Katy Harder '06 sent us an update from Slovakia. MORE. Katy also sent an additional story of a very cultural experience.
Richard Hays '87 is the Director of Communications at KJIL "Radio for Life" in Herington, KS. In October 2006 in Topeka, he was awarded first place for Personality Voicecheck and third place for Public Service Announcement for Small Market/Non-Commercial radio by the KAB (Kansas Association of Broadcasters). November 1
Tim Beikman '95 is currently teaching at Silver Lake High School where he also serves as head boys basketball coach and junior high track coach.
Jeff Ollenburger '94, Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center President and CEO, has announced his resignation from the internationally acclaimed museum. Ollenburger said that he would let his contract expire at the end of 2006, but would be willing to remain at the helm until such time a successor was named.Ollenburger, 35, who has been with the museum since 1996, and has been President and CEO since 2002, is leaving the non-profit museum world for a management position in the private sector.MORE.
Lisa (Morse) Euzukonis '01 married on September 23, 2006 in Salina, KS to Jason Euzukonis. She is currently work as an art therapist at Health and Education Services in Haverhill, MA. The couple is at home in Andover, MA.
Eric R. Meyners '82 sends greetings from Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. He is currently the Army Hospital Chaplain for the 14th Combat Support Hospital forward deployed to Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. He writes: I’ve included a picture of CH (LTC) Eric Ebb, CH (CPT) Renee Kiel and myself following worship here at Bagram. All three of us are Lutheran Chaplains, although they were not (all) gifted with Bethany. The second picture is myself and our command team waiting outside the hospital for school children to arrive following a rocket attack on their school. The third is me getting ready to distribute humanitarian aid at an Egyptian Army Hospital that serves the local population."
