LINDSBORG, Kan.—Bethany College senior Alisha Croomes, Salina, Kan., will open her senior art exhibition in Mingenback Art Center Gallery on May 8.
A reception for the artist will be held May 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. with a gallery talk at 2:30 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
The exhibition continues through May 13.
Croomes is a double major in art education and studio art with a concentration in painting. Her exhibition will include works in a variety of media. Much of her work focuses on the human form, as well as abstractions.
Mingenback Art Center, located on the corner of Olsson and Second Street on the Bethany College campus, is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Mingenback houses the premier center for art instruction in the region and a gallery devoted to the work of regional artists and Bethany College students and alumni. The Bethany College Art Department recognizes that open and rigorous inquiry is essential to a liberal-arts education.
