Associate Professor of Art, Caroline Kahler has been at Bethany College since 1988 and chair of the Bethany Art Department since 1990. She is the Mingenback Distinguished Professor of Art and recieved the Mortvedt Distinguished Teaching and Campus Leadership Award in 2000. She has a BS in Art Education from Kutztown State College, PA; MA in Textile Arts from Purdue University, IN; and an M.F.A. from Wichita State University in Ceramics. In addition to an extensive exhibition record, Caroline serves as: a juror and panelist for state and regional art events, a current board member of the Birger Sandzen Memorial Art Gallery and a Regional Representative for the Kansas Artist Craftsman Association, and this year she is hosting the fall KACA Conference Oct. 27-28 at Bethany College.
She will be on sabbatical Spring 2007 and will e exhibiting a new body of work March 8-30, 2007, at Concordia University St. Paul. She will also be giving a workshop at Concordia.
