Povey Named KCAC Player of the Week
 
LINDSBORG, Kan.— Tyson Povey, Ogden, Utah, has been named KCAC (Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference) Position Player of the Week for week three.
For week three Povey had a .857 bat avg., 1.57 slugging avg., four runs, two doubles, one homerun and two RBIs.
The Swedes played two games in week three, defeating Friends University 5-3 and 10-6 in a doubleheader. On the season the Swedes are 22-8 overall and 7-1 in conference play. The Swedes lead the NAIA in team batting average.
Baseball at Bethany has had many successes in recent years. Since 2000, the team has been nationally ranked in the NAIA, has won two KCAC championships, two KCAC tournament championships and has made two appearances at the NAIA Region IV tournament.
Bethany College competes in 15 intercollegiate sports in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.  Since 1902, Bethany has won 136 conference championships.
