Bethany News--Empty Bowls
BETHANY MAKES BOWLS FOR FOOD BANK
 
            Former and current students and faculty and staff of Bethany College have made 30 bowls for the Salina Emergency Aid/Food Bank’s fundraiser “Empty Bowls,” to be held Sunday, Nov. 5, from 5-8:30 p.m. at the 4-H Building at Kenwood Park
            Those making bowls and the number they made are: Caroline Kahler, 14 bowls; Alisha Croomes, five bowls; Janie Tubbs, three bowls; Kaci Critchfield, two bowls. The following each made one bowl: Kellie Alexander, Marissa Phillips, Daisy Friesen, Kelly Johnson, Nicky Hoffman, Jessica Hanzlick.
            Bethany College, established by Swedish Lutheran immigrants in 1881, is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The mission of Bethany College is to nurture and challenge individuals in their search for truth and meaning as they live lives of faith, learning and service.
