Bethany Students Selected for Intercollegiate Band

Five Bethany College students were chosen to play in the 2007 Kansas Music Educators Association Intercollegiate Band during the organization’s in service workshop held in Wichita Feb. 22-24.

The band was selected from nominated students from colleges and universities throughout Kansas.

Bethany students who participated were Sean Nelson, French horn, senior music teaching major from Wahoo, Neb.; Aaron Kuenn, oboe, freshman math major from Littleton, Colo.; John Woodward, trombone, senior instrumental performance major from Coppell, Texas; Lindsay Van Horn, French horn, junior music teaching major from Omaha, Neb.; and Jacquie Goetsch, trumpet, senior vocal performance and music teaching major from Leadville, Colo.

The students are all members of the Bethany Symphonic Band, directed by Doug Talbott, associate professor of music.

The Intercollegiate Band was conducted by Dr. Marcellus Brown, associate professor of music at Boise State University.
