KEENEY’S WORKS TO BE EXHIBITED AT BETHANY COLLEGE

The senior art exhibit by Bethany College student Jason Keeney will be on display in the Mingenback Art Center Gallery Feb. 22 through 27.
An artist reception will be Sunday, Feb. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m., with a gallery talk at 2:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
Keeney is a studio art major, concentrating in drawing and painting. His exhibition will include works from both types of media.
The work is spiritually based and depicts the artist’s personal walk in faith with the intention of appealing to others, Keeney said. His paintings use a vibrant color palette and expressive brush strokes while telling a spiritual story. The mediums used for his drawings range from pen and ink to wood carving/burning.
Keeney, from Tribune, Kan., is the son of Wayland and Linda Keeney.
The Mingenback Art Center is located at the corner of Second and Olsson Streets in Lindsborg. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. |
