BETHANY COMMITTEE CONTINUES PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH PROCESS

The Bethany College Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC) has met to continue its work in identifying candidates for the position of president of the college.

A substantial pool of applicants has been developed with multiple outstanding prospects, according to committee chair, Dr. Kathleen Hurty. “The committee is enthusiastic about the potential of finding stellar leadership for Bethany College from among this fine pool of candidates,” she said.

The committee is working carefully through a multi-phase screening process, seeking full understanding of the strengths and gifts of each candidate. “The committee will be moving in a judicious fashion to select candidates for the first round of interviews,” said Hurty.

As the process continues, the committee will generate a final list of names for campus visits and for presentation to the executive committee of the Bethany board of directors.  The board will make the final selection.

Serving on the committee are Ross Tidemann, Don Anderson, Dr. Robert Carlson, Dr. Linda Lewis, Kimberly Streit, Charlotte Anderson, Brenda Meagher, Dr. Kris Erickson, Mark Lysell, Rev. Reuben Swanson, and Marilyn Olson.  Tad Doering, Bethany board chair, meets with the committee ex officio, and Dr. Bill Franklin serves as the Senior Consultant from Academic Search.
