Plan to Attend Alumni Sports Saturday

Bethany College will hold its annual Alumni Sports Saturday on Sept. 2 on the Bethany College campus. All Bethany alumni are invited to join in as a participant or as a spectator. Schedule & Registration.

            The day will kick-off with the George Stephens Memorial Golf Tournament held at the Lindsborg Golf Course. The day also will include a football scrimmage against McPherson College, a wood racquet tennis tournament, cook-out, alumni volleyball game and soccer games against Saint Gregory’s University. A brief presentation also will be made by the athletic department and the Bethany Athletic Association.

            Set up in Ericsson classroom in Hahn Gymnasium will be a “memory lane” which will display photos and other Bethany sports memorabilia.

            Traditionally, alumni football players have been invited to scrimmage with the team, a highlight of Alumni Sports Saturday. This year alumni will not be able to participate in the football scrimmage, as many colleges are taking the advice of their insurers and going away from football alumni games.
