BETHANY COLLEGE TACKLES SUMMER MAINTENANCE PROJECTS
LINDSBORG, Kan. — Bethany College is taking advantage of students’ absence this summer to undertake many important construction and maintenance projects on campus.
Crews are now tackling several maintenance projects integral to the physical and technological infrastructure of the college, such as residence-hall improvements and computer upgrades.
Crews also are working to complete the second phase of the Campus Green project, which includes a Promenade of Flags between Presser Circle and Swensson Street in the heart of campus.
Also in this phase of the project, Hahn Gymnasium parking lot is being resurfaced and a blocked sewer line in front of the street through Swensson Street will be replaced.
In recent meetings, the executive committee of the Board of Directors approved several other maintenance projects, including:
· Refurbished restrooms in Pihlblad Memorial Union
· Investments in information technology, including new computers and additional classroom equipment
· A new air-conditioning unit in Burnett Center
· Repaired roofs on Pihlblad Memorial Union, Social Science Center and Wallerstedt Library
· Replaced seating and fresh paint in Anderson Stadium
· New bleachers for Hahn Gymnasium
