KATHY KOSINS TO PERFORM WITH BETHANY JAZZ ENSEMBLE DEC. 4
LINDSBORG, Kan.—Critically-acclaimed jazz singer and educator Kathy Kosins will perform with the Bethany Jazz Ensemble on Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. in Presser Hall on the Bethany College campus.
Kosins will be in residence at Bethany on Dec. 3 and 4. While on campus, she will lead workshops with Bethany students, as well as with high school students and directors.
The Dec. 4 concert is free and open to the public.
Kosins was named one of the top six vocalists of 2005 by the International Association of Jazz Educators and jazz composer of the year in 2001 by the Michigan Council of the Arts. She has performed widely and recorded several albums, including “Vintage,” released in 2005.
The Bethany Jazz Ensemble is directed by Doug Talbott, associate professor of music at the college.
