BETHANY WELCOMES NEW STAFF MEMBER
LINDSBORG, Kan.—Bethany College announces the recent hiring of a new staff member.
Beginning Nov. 12, Controller Douglas Dutton will work in coordination with the chief financial officer on the fiscal management of the college.
Dutton is a licensed certified public account with more than 15 years of diverse accounting and management experience. He joins the college after working as a self-employed CPA and consultant based in Scandia, Kan.
Dutton currently is president of ISIS Shriners, AAONMS, Salina, Kan., a position in which he was elected to represent over 2,200 members in 43 counties. He also serves as a member of the Imperial (International) Shrine Audit and Finance Committee, a seven-member board which oversees the audit and budgeting process.
Among several other civic leadership positions, Dutton is past director of the Salina Masonic Center, Salina, Kan.
He is a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Norway, Kan.
Dutton holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Wichita State University. He has completed numerous hours of professional continuing education in management, law and taxation. A past member of the United States Air Force, he completed leadership training at the United States Air Force Noncommissioned Officer Leadership School.
