ENROLLMENT STEADY FOR SPRING SEMESTER AT BETHANY
LINDSBORG, Kan.—Twenty-day enrollment figures for the spring 2008 semester at Bethany College show a total enrollment of 482 students, a three percent increase when compared to spring 2007 total enrollment.
            Of the 482 students, 243 are male and 239 are female. More than half are from Kansas; other states with strong representation include California, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas. Five percent are international students.
            Bethany College students this spring are from 17 foreign countries and 30 states.
            Fall to spring retention of returning students this year was 86%, a slight increase from fall to spring retention figures in spring 2007 and 2006.
Bethany College, established by Swedish Lutheran immigrants in 1881, is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
