The chapel service, held in appreciation of church workers, will be at 10:30 a.m. in Swenson Chapel of Burnett Center. The Bethany College Chapel Choir and Bethany College Handbell Ensemble will perform.
The event will be followed by a brunch for invited area pastors and church workers.

Parr will have dinner with Bethany coaches and student-athletes before his presentation.
The celebrations are part of a week of inauguration festivities at Bethany College this spring. On April 12, Edward F. Leonard III will be formally inaugurated as the thirteenth president of Bethany College. From April 7 to April 13, inauguration festivities on campus will celebrate specific aspects of Bethany’s tradition and future. A full schedule of events is available at www.bethanylb.edu/inauguration.
Parr, who was born in Kentucky and raised in Virginia, came to Kansas State University in 1954 on a basketball scholarship. During his college career, he earned all-conference honors for three years and was twice named an All-American. He then joined the Cincinnati Royals of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
In 2003, Parr was voted one of the top ten basketball players in Kansas State’s history. The following year he was inducted to the Kansas State University Sports Hall of Fame. In 2005, his Kansas State basketball jersey was retired and he was inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame.
Following his career in the NBA, Parr officiated college basketball games for ten years. He formed his own company, Jack Parr Associates, Inc., in 1969.
The company began with prepackaged personal development programs, adapting them to corporate scenes, and evolving into customized materials. Thirty-nine years later, it is primarily focused on the development of human resources, specializing in customer service training and management development.
Parr and his staff serve major corporations in fifteen countries and 46 states.
