BETHANY WELCOMES MOLLY JOHNSON AS ALUMNI DIRECTOR

LINDSBORG, Kan.—Lindsborg native and Bethany College alumna Molly Johnson will begin as director of alumni development at Bethany on June 23.
            Johnson currently is administrative assistant to the Bethany College Athletics Department, a position she has held since 2006.
            As director of alumni development, she will be responsible for maintaining and developing loyalty, support and advocacy for Bethany College among graduates and former students. She will build community through alumni events and communications, as well as cultivate relationships with alumni donors and implement an alumni mentorship program.
            “As an alumna, I know that Bethany bestows wonderful gifts upon its students and alumni. I’m looking forward to sharing these gifts and strengthening alumni support for Bethany,” she said.
            Johnson earned her Bachelor of Arts in communication from Bethany College in 2006. In addition to her involvement in theatre and music at the college, she worked as administrative assistant to the Office of Special Events.
            Johnson is actively involved in the local community. In her work, she has helped plan numerous fundraising strategies and events.
            She currently serves as president of Broadway RFD Community Theatre, and has been involved in its theatre productions since 2001. She is director of the Lindsborg Community Fourth of July Event, secretary for the Smoky Valley Development Company and program committee member for Svensk Hyllningsfest. Previously, she has served as assistant to the director of the Lindsborg Chamber of Commerce
            A member of Salemsborg Lutheran Church, Johnson also teaches Sunday school classes.
