NEW ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE JOINS BETHANY STAFF
LINDSBORG, Kan.—Yang Linda Guan will join the Bethany College Office of Admissions as an admissions representative. She will begin July 24.

At Bethany, Guan will be responsible for marketing the college to prospective students. She will build relationships with those students and their parents through recruitment activities, events and communication.
Guan is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn. She holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology.
At Vanderbilt, she served as a resident advisor. She planned and led hall meetings; attended leadership conferences; and was an interviewer for the resident advisor selection and recruitment process. From 2004 to 2006, she was a student ambassador. She gave campus tours, during which she promoted interest in the university.
Guan has earned awards in both academics and service. A Dean’s List student who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, she also participated in service projects at Vanderbilt, including Habitat for Humanity and Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science. She was honored with the President’s Award for Student Service.
During the summer of 2007, Guan was an intern at KJC Concepts. There, she managed a small team, and facilitated and planned weekly events. Prior to 2007, she worked for two summers as an intern for Southern Company Services. Guan designed research models for projects and also generated statistical analyses.
Bethany College, established by Swedish Lutheran immigrants in 1881, is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
