Mission Statement:

The Bethany College Business Program seeks to prepare graduates for careers in business in the United States and abroad by providing a value based education through professional coursework in the fields of accounting, economics, finance, management, international management, marketing, business technologies, and business teaching.

Bethany College business majors get the best of all worlds:
  • high-quality classes led by professors with advanced degrees and practical success in the business world
  • experience-based education that allows students to explore career options and gain valuable skills
  • a dozens of courses focused specifically on business and a general curriculum that emphasizes values, human relations and general professionalism

More Bethany students choose a business major than any other single major on campus, giving business students a strong network of faculty, peers and alumni to support them—in college and after.

A new joint major between Business and Health and Physical Education

Sports Management/Sports Administration is a large and growing field for employment of college graduates. More than 150 U.S. colleges and universities plus many in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Mexico offer undergraduate and graduate programs. At least two major universities, Ohio State and the University of Connecticut, offer Ph.D. programs in the field. The Bethany College Sports Management major is a strong academic program designed to develop skills in both the business and sports aspects of these popular careers. The program, as conceived at Bethany College, is unique when compared to many other programs. Most other programs place major emphasis on P.E., recreation, and sports courses. The Bethany College program, as a joint program, places equal emphasis on business and sports management preparation, with major support in communications and psychology. Graduates of our program will be better prepared for positions of responsibility and to enter graduate school programs.
