Phase One Done; Project Moves North

With plantings completed, grass growing, and water flowing below Carl Aaron Swensson's feet, phase one of Campus Green is all but done.

On May 5, the Bethany Board of Directors voted to proceed with the next phase of the project, which will include removal of First Street north of the new Presser Circle to Swensson Street. In its place will be an avenue of five flags, planters, and cobblestone walks.

To date, the project has created an attractive front entrance east of Presser Hall, new sidewalks, landscaping plants and re-planted lawns. Future plans include new parking lots, removal of Swensson Street, and creation of an east campus entrance.
