Chapel

Worship is central to our life as a community of faith and learning.  Chapel is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:30-10:50 a.m. in Swenson Chapel of Burnett Center.  The community gathers for prayer, praise, spiritual renewal, and the sharing of the Word. Students, faculty and staff serve as speakers, worship leaders, and musicians.  Chapel includes contemporary and traditional styles of worship and music, Holy Communion, and lots of student involvement.

Involvements
Through student leadership and participation, Bethany College offers a multidimensional Campus Ministry Program, including:

Campus Ministry Coordinators

CMC includes the leaders of the various Bethany Campus Ministry groups.  CMC works cooperatively on various activities throughout the academic year and serves to present a unifying mission for all Campus Ministry efforts.

Bethany Peer Ministers help create a culture of students helping students on campus.  Peer Ministers are specially trained in communication, listening, welcoming, confidentiality, decision-making, and making referrals.  These students reach out to help all our students make connections at Bethany.

Knit-Wits is a service group in which participants learn how to knit or crochet sweaters, chemo caps, and prayer shawls for people in need throughout the world.

Encounters

A guest speaker spends time on campus each semester to teach in their area of expertise and to foster reflection and discussion on issues of faith and life.  Students have a number of opportunities to meet these guests in classroom, chapel, or informal settings.
