Our students have moved on to successful careers in a variety of professions. Ninety-five percent of departmental graduates who have wanted to teach in area high schools have received positions.
We have placed 97 percent of our pre-law students in law schools such as Washburn University, the University of Kansas, Cornell University, the University of North Carolina, the University of Oklahoma, and Harvard University.
Other graduates have continued their studies in history and political science or entered the fields of business, the foreign service, or library science.
The Career Services Office provides students with support and resources throughout the career-development process. The staff is prepared to help in the selection of career options and academic majors as well as with internship placement and volunteer-service placement. The office also provides assistance with resume writing, preparation for interviews, and other elements of both summer job and permanent employment.
