Head Golf Coach Jon Daniels has begun his 25th year at Bethany College.
In 1981 Coach Daniels arrived at Bethany to coach football and track, as well as head the recreation curriculum and develop the intramural program. He served as head track coach for the women and assistant track coach for the men’s team. During his reign as women’s track coach, the team won seven consecutive conference championships.
Daniels also served as an assistant for the football program.
In 1993 Coach Daniels headed up the golf program and since has claimed 11 consecutive conference championships.
In 1995 Daniels began his duties as athletic director. He also has served as KCAC president for eight years. In addition he served on the regional council and several national committees.
Coach Daniels earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Leadership from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina in 1975. He went on to earn a Master of Recreational Administration in Resource Management from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina in 1980. In 1988 Daniels earned a Master of Sports Administration from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.
Coach Daniels and wife, Tina, have two daughters, Valerie and Tiffany.
