I am Dr. Eric H. Hyler, Assistant Professor of Secondary Education and Chair of the Education Department. I graduated from Parsons, KS High School in 1967. I earned a Bachelor's Master's degrees and a Doctorate of Education degree from Kansas University. I have recently worked 35 years in the Perry Lecompton KS school district as a teacher and administrator. I have been actively involved in regional and state professional organizations for many years.

I have been married to Linda, who has a Ph.D. in Educational Administration, for 32 years. She is a teacher at Central Junior High School in Lawrence, KS. We have two daughters, Elizabeth, a junior art major at KSU, and Alexandra, who is a sophomore at Lawrence High School.

I enjoy playing golf and seek every opportunity to be on a golf course. I actually played at Pebble Beach, CA in 1973!
