Bethany sponsors local chapters of the following honor societies. These groups require members to have achieved high scholastic standards and completed courses related the discipline.

Membership in these groups shows dedication and excellence in a student's academic discipline.

• Sigma Alpha Iota for music 

Bethany also sponsors two local honor groups: Blue Key for men and Gold Key for women.

Bethany students who meet GPA requirements and who have reached junior standing are eligible for Blue or Gold Key. Eligible students are nominated for membership. Only 5 percent of the student body may be members of Blue and Gold Key at any given time. In addition to academic success, voters consider overall character when choosing Blue and Gold Key members.

New Blue and Gold Key members are announced each year during the spring Academic Honors Banquet on campus.
