JOB DESCRIPTION – SOCCER MANAGER
Office of Athletics, Bethany College
POSITION TITLE: Team Manager
SUPERVISOR: Men’s Soccer Coach
FUNCTIONS: To assist the men’s soccer team with daily team operations
Primary functions include:
Team support duties as assigned by the Head Coach
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Coordinate with Athletic trainers to make sure water is brought out to fields for practice
Ø Organize team uniform, warm-up, and practice gear check-out and check-in
Ø Team uniform, warm-up, and practice gear maintenance, including laundry
Ø Take stats during home games and input stats into stat program
Ø Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ø 8-10 hours/week during school year
Ø Full year/season commitment
Ø Attendance at all home soccer games
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø Availability during weekends and afternoon/evenings
Ø Work Study
Ø Prior soccer knowledge a plus
Ø Highly responsible
Ø Ability to work as a team member with staff
Ø Ability to learn and take directions
Ø Minimum cumulative Bethany GPA of 2.5 preferred
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:
Ø Periodic evaluation by the Head Coach
