POSITION TITLE:       Accompanist

FUNCTIONS:              Accompany other Bethany College students

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Ø      8 hours/week during school year

Ø      Full year's commitment desired because of the time-consuming training involved

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø      Recommendation by the Piano Area Coordinator as a qualified pianist. 

Ø      Willingness to follow advice from teachers on performance expectations of solo repertoire.

EXPECTATIONS:

Ø      Must be willing to schedule for rehearsals, lessons, and performance times for the benefit of the soloist. 

Ø      Hours determined by contact time:  lesson (1/2 hour minimum), rehearsal with soloist (1/2 hour minimum, 1 hour maximum per week), and performance (1/2 hour minimum)

Ø      Provide accompaniment for prospective students during recruiting events.
