Cindy Boyd returned to the plains states in 1992 with her husband Darrel and three daughters after spending fifteen years in New Zealand. At this time, she continued her education and received a B.S.Ed. in mathematics from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1994. Soon afterwards, she began work on an M.S. degree in pure mathematics from Oklahoma State University and completed this in 1998 while teaching concurrent enrolment and upper level math classes at Medicine Lodge High School (Kansas), through Pratt Community College.
She began teaching mathematics at Bethany College in 2002 and teaches all levels of undergraduate mathematics. She is responsible for the secondary mathematics education program and the middle level mathematics endorsement program. Cindy is currently studying towards completion of a Ph.D. in Mathematics with an Emphasis in Undergraduate Education from Kansas State University.
Cindy’s other interests include spending time with her husband and children, church
activities, and being outdoors.
