The Messiah Festival of Music & Art will celebrate its 127th season in 2008.
Handel's Messiah will be presented on Palm Sunday, March 16, 2008 and Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, at 3 p.m. Bach's St. Matthew Passion will be presented on Good Friday, March 21, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. All performances will take place in Presser Hall on the Bethany College campus.
Tickets are now on sale. For Messiah performances, they are $20, $14, and $9; tickets for St. Matthew's Passion are $12, $9, and $5. Tickets can be purchased:

Special rates are available for churches, tour groups and students. Prices will be offered at the lowest price regardless of location in the auditorium. The Bethany College Music Department invites music, art and theatre students - and their teachers - to attend performances free of charge; immediate family members may attend for $5. Narrative Theatre workshop on creating a historical character Burnett Center, 7:30 p.m. Building from the principles of “character, commitment, credibility,” the cast and director of “Las Casas: Tears of the Indians,” describe the process of developing the piece, demonstrate scenes from the show, and lead the audience in a discussion of historical characters who might be brought to the stage. Professor Isaacson discusses the beginning stages of a piece on G. N. Malm.
