LOCAL STUDENT TO PRESENT RECITAL AT BETHANY
LINDSBORG, Kan.—Bethany College student Joshua Lindgren, Assaria, Kan., will present his senior organ and harpsichord recital on May 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Hall.
The recital will feature works by Bach, Dupré, Frescobaldi and Bingham. It is free and open to the public. A reception following the recital will be held in the Messiah Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.
Lindgren is the son of Larry and Kathy Lindgren. He is majoring in keyboard performance with an emphasis in organ at Bethany College, where he currently studies under Melody Turnquist-Steed. He also has studied with Heather Herrington-Hernandez, Paul Tegels and Melissa Moll.
Lindgren is organist for Messiah Lutheran Church in Lindsborg and president of the Associated Music Students of Bethany College.
Following his graduation, Lindgren will attend Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minn., in pursuit of his Master of Sacred Music in organ. He has received the full-tuition President's Scholarship and a $2,000 first-year stipend.
