Having emerged from "apprenticeship" roots to the formal classroom, it is essential that social work education never divorce itself from the practice field. A cooperative venture between student, agency, and college is necessary in order for a successful practicum experience to be completed.
The Practicum Manual sets out the expectations and requirements of the practicum experience and contains the contractual and evaluation tools to be used throughout the practicum placement. It is the beginning point upon which the practicum experience is built.
The entire manual is available for the use of Agency Field Instructors and practicum students.
