Special Education: Adaptive Special Education Endorsement for Teacher Licensure 6-12 Requirements

(20-21 hours, including supporting and professional education courses) - Beverly Schottler, ACCK Coordinator
The Adaptive Special Education K-6 endorsement is not a stand alone program. Students who are majoring in Secondary or PreK-6 Education may take coursework leading licensure in adaptive special education (mental retardation, learning disabilities, emotional disturbance, and other health impairments) at the secondary level.
*Alternate year course     NOTE: Students must have a grade of "C" or higher
                                                   in all courses listed below and in the required
                                                   courses in writing, communication, and mathematics.
